Russian Priest and Monk – Hand-Coloured Lithograph, c.1845
Description: This sober and atmospheric lithograph shows a Russian Orthodox priest and monk engaged in conversation. Their dark robes, crosses, and gestures reflect clerical life in 19th-century Russia and provide a contrast to the more colourful folk costumes elsewhere in the series.
