Antique print titled 'Vierv. Dieren XXX, Quadruped XXX'.
This animal print depicts 1. Wilde paard, 2. Wilde halfezel, 3. Woud-Ezel, 4. Muildier, 5. Muilezel, 6. Quagga (horses/donkeys). This engraved print originates from a very rare unknown Dutch work. The plates are similar to the plates in the famous German work: 'Bilderbuch fur Kinder', published by Bertuch. Dutch text page included.
Artists and Engravers: Friedrich Johann Justin Bertuch (1747-1822 German) was a German publisher and patron of the arts.
