Portrait of the Flemish painter Gerard Seghers ( Segers ) 1591-1651, born in Antwerp, Belgium. Gerard Seghers was a Flemish painter who concentrated on religious subjects.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'P. de Jode' after an anonymous artist. Pieter de Jode I (1570-1634), was a Flemish Baroque painter and engraver. He learned drawing and engraving first from his father, the map maker Gerard de Jode, and later from Hendrik Goltzius. He was the teacher of his son Pieter de Jode II and others.
Condition: Good, given age. A few minor crinkles. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
