Two religious images on one plate. Upper image 'Kiwasa idole des Virginiens'.
Kiwasa, this Idol is placed in the temple of the town of Secotam, as the keeper of the king's dead corpses.
Lower image 'Le Dieu des Vents, autre Idole des Virginiens'. The God of Wind. Both idols are key to Virginian culture. This print originates from 'Ceremonies et costumes Religieuses (..)'.
