The Hoch- und Deutschmeister Regiment, formally known as the k.u.k. Infanterie-Regiment Hoch- und Deutschmeister Nr. 4, was one of the most famous infantry units in the Habsburg military. With origins dating back to the 17th century, it carried a storied tradition and played a prominent ceremonial as well as operational role.
